Last month we visited Barcelona for a 3 night mini break, there was lots that I wanted to see such as Camp Nou, La Sagrada Familia etc but there was also one other place that I saw on a list of top 10 free things to do in Barcelona, I forgot what site it was on but I did remember the amazing food market that had caught my eye.
After googling ‘Barcelona food markets’ the night before we left I was pleasantly surprised that the colourful market was around the corner from our hotel, literally halfway down Las Ramblas.
I can honestly say Mercat de la Boqueria was the highlight of my trip, I’ve never been to such an amazing food market, we went there everyday & each day I kept repeating out loud how amazing the produce was.
My photos really don’t do the place any justice, if you’re planning a visit to Barcelona, then add Mercat de la Boqueria to your itinerary.
Wonderful photos–thank you for sharing!
