Big Projects
Hello! I finished a big project that made me feel good, and I'm going to start a new one that I think is pretty neat!
Project codename: Mew × digiLab
I finished the cross-stitch gift I made for my work's Secret Santa:

My Secret Santa absolutely loves Mew, and I know we're both kinda proud of the startup we work at, so the idea formulated in my head almost immediately as soon as I picked his name.
I know it's a bit goofy, but it's heartfelt.
Project codename: Model of the New Star
I've been thinking about my big 2026 project for maybe about a month, and I just posted devlog 0 on my gamedev blog.
I keep that other blog strictly positive and keep my language family-friendly, so I'll let you folks in on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tidbit: I planned on starting a video devlog, to the extent that I set up a YouTube channel with all the studio branding, and bought all the camera and microphone kit. I was so fucking confident right up until the night before the day I'd planned to start. I didn't sleep with the dread. I fucking hated it. I truly fucking hated it. And I crashed hard from the despair of it all.
I could've got this blog done and the game started at least a week earlier if I hadn't killed my motivation over convincing myself that I--for some reason--needed to make videos? For the game to ever be successful? I fell down such a horrific rabbit hole on that one.
But since I started drafting the blog post, I've felt great! I just love it. I might have a face made for radio, but this voice was made for blogging.
